‘Tis the season of being thankful. Many good deeds are being done and praises of “thank you” are everywhere! Both giving AND receiving a “thank you” is a fabulous way to warm your heart, which is especially needed during this crazy 2020. But with so many words of thanks being said, they can get lost in the shuffle. Let’s give it a little boost!
Recently I made a gift for someone. It took quite a bit of time, but it made me really happy to do it (BONUS!). I received an immediate “thank you” … but she went way further than simply those two words. She acknowledged how much time it must have taken me to do this for her, and also threw in a comment about talent [BLUSH] directly related to the gift. My heart swelled with pride, and she smiled as she said it.
Did I say recently? I should have said a year ago. But that’s how much impact it had on me. I remember that “thank you” and it still warms my heart.
Let’s make all those “thank you’s” a little more meaningful and recognize the efforts that are entangled with that good deed. You may find that a more special “thank you” warms everyone’s heart even more!
